How to maintain the bisht:
- The proper folding process for the bisht must be observed.
- When you have finished wearing the bisht after use, it is preferable to hang it in the closet and store it in the cloth bag.
- The bisht (cloak) is not washed or ironed except with steam.
- Do not put perfumes on the bisht because of its effect on the zari, and be satisfied with incense.
- The bisht should not be exposed to strong light or sunlight for long hours.
- It is preferable not to go out wearing a bisht in rainy weather.
- Avoid placing the bisht directly in contact with the wood without placing it in a plastic bag to avoid termites.
