How to maintain the bisht:
The proper folding process for the bisht must be observed.
When you have finished wearing the bisht after use, it is preferable to hang it in the closet and store it in the cloth bag.
The bisht (cloak) is not washed or ironed except with steam.
Do not put perfumes on the bisht because of its effect on the zari, and be satisfied with incense.
The bisht should not be exposed to strong light or sunlight for long hours.
It is preferable not to go out wearing a bisht in rainy weather.
Avoid placing the bisht directly in contact with the wood without placing it in a plastic bag to avoid termites.
